Terry Ford - LIve

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I am an experienced musician having played in many different types of bands and venues over the years. My current musical venture is a guitar based power trio playing covers of mainly alternative rock songs from the 1950s to the present day.

I have a strong general musical background having started my musical journey age 11 playing the clarinet, including a short stint playing in the Lancashire Youth Orchestra.  After that, I started learning the saxophone and played in a swing big band for a year at sixth form college. I started playing the guitar at age 14 and I am still hooked! Learning the guitar has been a lifelong obsession and I am always finding something new and exciting to learn.

I am equally at home on an acoustic or electric guitar. However my skills in classical and jazz guitar are admittedly limited, so if you want to learn these styles specifically then a specialised teacher is recommended.

I can instruct in a variety of styles and recommend learning a wide range of approaches to ensure a well rounded guitar education. Whilst I enjoy playing styles as diverse as folk and funk, I really wish I  had been the lead guitarist in either Cream or Led Zeppelin.

In a former life I was a qualified nurse and have extensive teaching experience. I am able to bring this experience to bear to ensure that you have a personalised teaching plan.
